Zur Kastanie in Hamburg

Very good food. The Christmas Ganz was again a real highlight this year. Gladly again.

My absolute favorite restaurant. Here you understand your craft. We ate very well here for engagement and civil weddings (and many other occasions). Recommended: a nice walk through the nature reserve beforehand.

On Boxing Day 2020: the world's best duck of all time (juicy, crispy and low in fat) made up for a lot of bad things throughout the year.

We have ordered the Christmas offer with the geese to pick up. We thought the food was great, maybe it could have been a little more dumplings, but we were all still full. When picking up, great care was taken to ensure that all corona hygiene and distance rules are observed. We would take up the offer again.

Kale to go! Sufficient quantity, flexibility with the meat side dishes, very nice when you pick it up and super tasty !! Happy to be back soon!

We have ordered goose with dumplings, sauce and red cabbage from the “Kastanie” in advance and are extremely enthusiastic. The meat was lean and everything was very tasty. I hope the goose had a good life before then this Sunday dinner perfect for me.

THE family restaurant for all fans of delicious cuisine. I've never eaten fried potatoes that good. Good memories!

The food was average to disappointing, partly without taste, partly too salty, not okay for the price. The service was gone very quickly and then the whole meal didn't show up again. When clearing the table, the question came up: "Are everyone full?", Not whether it was tasty ... Definitely once and never again

The homemade warm rabbit sauce with vanilla ice cream was a poem. Here you sit a little higher on the terrace with a beautiful view of nature, old trees, fields and gardens. Very friendly, clean, quiet and cozy. Would love to come back.

We celebrated our wedding in the big chestnut hall and it was great all round. From the uncomplicated and professional preparation, to the possibility of spontaneous wishes, to the individually coordinated meal, everything fits here. Great hall with its own bar in the room, very tasty food, very friendly and courteous staff and authentic owners who are happy to help and advise me as experts. We say THANK YOU and can only recommend the chestnut to everyone - both as a restaurant and as an event location!

Excellent food, well served.

We went here for dinner with friends and I enjoyed it. Traditional food is served here, roast duck and farmer's breakfast, for example, as you know it from home. It was a nice evening in a nice atmosphere with delicious food.

Very good restaurant with decent portions! It tastes really delicious! Only the price is a bit daunting, what the nice waiters and waitresses but by their nice sympathetic way are worth! Will definitely come back.

Last weekend we were in the restaurant "Zur Kastanie". Although there was a lot of turbulence, we got a comfortable place with a great view. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly. Can we definitely recommend it!

I love German home cooking! And here it is especially tasty, in an ambience like the Ohnsorg Theater ... I really like that. Here is cooked very well. There is also lunch where you can choose a soup or dessert. The staff was great, nice and in good shape. You always feel welcome. Ambience cuddly. And Duvenstedt anyway a fine corner. Actually, I would rather give 20 stars !!
